If you plan to use your PressureJet high pressure washer to clean farm equipment, industrial or agricultural machinery you will need a high rated power unit. Such units are designed for long hours of labor and are built with the higher quality parts that have more washing power. As such they will last longer than cheaper residential models. Some manufacturers develop units using the cheapest parts so that they can sell them for the lowest possible price. Unfortunately, those kinds of high pressure washers become useless items after one hundred hours and end up being a scrap. You will then have to spend more money to buy another one. This is why it is in your best interest to purchase the right unit in the very first time. Your new unit should have the highest quality parts, so that you can receive a power washer that is suitable for all your industrial and agricultural duty applications. Agricultural and farm machinery pressure wash should be done over an unpaved area, such as an area covered with grass or gravel. Washing over an unpaved surface will allow the soapy water to soak into the ground, be filtered and eventually recharge the groundwater. If you have your own well, you should wash your equipment at least 100 feet from the wellhead. If you wash the equipment on a paved surface, the runoff flows into a storm drain and the water and contaminants are discharged to the nearest lake or stream. Here is the general guideline on how to perform farm equipment’s power wash, and industrial and agricultural machinery cleaning:


Wash your equipment after each use and/or before storing it.

  • Attach the water hose to your PressureJet high pressure washer. Check the fuel and oil levels. Start the high pressurewasher.
  • Spray your equipment with the water mixed with the detergent. Use low pressure since this way the water and the detergent will not splash away.
  • Spray from a distance of 2-3 feet from the surface being cleaned. Start from the lowest point on the machinery and work your way up towards the highest point. This way you will avoid streaking.
  • Apply plenty of detergent to dissolve the dirt at the surface you are cleaning.
  • Allow 5-10 minutes for the detergents to start dissolving the debris being cleaned.
  • Deliver the "punch" with the high water pressure. Start removing the dirt from the surface. Don't be afraid to use the high-pressure washer aggressively- pins, cutters, and a majority of the parts are built from the hard metal and led material.
  • Rinse - use plenty of water to flush away the dirt. Start from the top and work your way towards the bottom. This will avoid having the dirt running over the clean/rinsed area. The best results are achieved with the wide spray angle (25 or 40 degrees).
